Some materials just don’t make sense… You would think that a liquid object would splat on the floor however, Non Nutonium materials like Oobleck and Custard Powder (with water) will solidify and turn solid upon impact.
This can be very useful for new defence strategys and protection as it doesn’t weigh too much and it instantly activates upon impact.
So… How do I make this stuff?
- Mix Custard Powder with lukewarm water to the ratio 1:3
- Squeeze the mixture
- Rest it in your palm
See it’s not hard whatsoever!
Try it for yourself and don’t forget to comment if you succeed!
Please note that STEM Club will not be running this week!
Just think about technology… Yes the phone in your pocket, the radio in your car and even your computer and they have come a long way…

You may use the internet all the time but do you really know what protects you against viruses, malware and malicious software? Some people devote their lives to create deadly software that can actually deem a machine unusable.
At the bottom of this article, there are some links to official software for your protection.

We, at QEHS STEM Club, are very sorry for the huge gap of downtime (about 3 weeks). It was nothing major… No security breaches… No hackings… Just a simple DNS misconfiguration.
We are hugely sorry for the lack of posted content and we hope that it won’t happen again.
With much regret,
The QEHS STEM Club

Everyone uses a cool pack at sometime for an injury these days. They come in many different sizes and all use a chemical reaction producing an endothermic reaction (absorbs heat to go cold).

Forces are one of the most confusing topics as any learning scientist will tell you. Primarily, you need to know Newton’s First Law:
An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

When conducting an experiment two types of reaction can occur, Chemical reactions or Physical changes.

I thought that I would share this as it looks really cool and it is very simple!
